Today i had a 14 year old girl who did not brush regularly and did not floss at all, so she had quite a bit of calculus on her mandibular linguals. i took 4 bitewings and finished scaling all 4 quads. she was very compliant and hopefully she goes home and brushes and flosses!

My brother came in today and was a class II on two quads. we only finished those two quads. it was amazing how well the ultra sonic got in there and removed the calculus so easily! i loved it

My patient today had more calculus. I finished him and things went well. He had been in last in 2005. I took 4 bwx. Scaling took my awhile, but i feel like it was really good practice. he had a lot of calculus on his lower anteriors. i polished and used some NaF varnish for a little restoration on his cuspids. So far i have only had 1B's, so hopefully its not too bad when i get my first 2 or 3!

Today I had another 1B. Everything went really well. She had some pretty bad TMJ crepitus and had a really hard time keeping her mouth open for long periods @ a time. I tried to get as much done as i could while she could keep her mouth open. Hemsley was a much faster, so she had to get in there and remove the calculus a little quicker. I finished my explorer PE, and no x-rays this time. She had them 6 months ago.

My last post had an error and was deleted, so i'm not going to re-write everything. Finished up my 1B pt. Things went well. 4 BWX and 3 retakes. I still feel a little flustered at each appt.

Today went really well. my husband came in for my first cleaning. I finished all four quads (first time)! I think I need to focus on remembering all of the small details. I forgot to print up my tx plan before my OD check, and I forgot to get my Health History signed! Oops! Other than that things went pretty smoothly.

Well its our first day back from christmas break. I have to say i'm pretty nervous. We practiced a little on typodonts and each other. Luckily my husband is my first pt wednesday, so hopefully he will be patient with me:)
